If you've made it this far, hi! I'm Will and I'm a technical sound designer. I previously worked at Retro Studios as the Rumble Implementer for Metroid Prime 4, and before that I had helped co-found Merge Conflict Studio. Prior to that, I was a sound design intern at Respawn Entertainment working on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
When it comes to audio in games, the actual design of the sound is only half the work of making a game sound fantastic. The systems and implementation of the sounds are just as important as the sounds themselves. I strive to create systems that empower sound designer to create the best auditory experience possible. I also strongly believe that cross departmental communication and documentation are critical components to creating a successful production environment.
When I'm not working you can usually catch me at the climbing gym, reading a book, or headbanging at a metal show. If that sounds like something you would be interested in, please reach out!
